Braylon’s Senior Session in Kearney, Nebraska

Braylon’s senior session was the perfect mix of urban and natural scenery, taking us from the heart of downtown Kearney, Nebraska, all the way out to the beautiful Platte River just east of town.

We started the session in downtown Kearney, using the streets, buildings, and unique surroundings to create a more modern and urban feel. Downtown gave us plenty of variety and added a fun personality to the first part of his senior portraits.

From there, we headed just east of Kearney to the Platte River, where the scenery completely changed. The open landscape, tall grasses, trees, and natural surroundings gave the second half of Braylon’s session a relaxed and timeless feel.

I love incorporating more than one setting into a senior session because it allows each part of the gallery to feel a little different. Braylon’s session was a great example of how combining an urban location with the natural beauty surrounding Kearney can create a gallery with plenty of variety.

Senior sessions should be about more than simply standing in front of a camera. They’re a chance to capture this exciting season of life in a way that feels personal and true to you. Whether you prefer downtown locations, open fields, the Platte River, or a combination of different settings, I’ll help guide you through the session while leaving plenty of room for natural moments to happen.


Braylon’s session was a fun way to celebrate his senior year, and I’m so glad we were able to capture his portraits in two very different parts of the Kearney area.
